Hunt for van driver after woman hurt in crash

POLICE are trying to trace a Transit van after a road crash which left a woman with life-threatening injuries.

The 50-year-old woman from Tickhill was left with injuries to her left leg and lower limbs and was taken to the Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

She is believed to have got out of a silver/grey Vauxhall Corsa, which she had been driving along the A631 Rotherham Road, Tickhill, after the car hit a brick wall near Friars Lane.

She was then spotted lying in the road after a dark Transitvan going the same way passed the stationary Corsa.

Police have appealed for information about the whereabouts of the van, and for anyone who saw what happened in the incident, at 5.20am on Saturday.
