Hull Truck back with Subbuteo saga

THE acclaimed Hull Truck Theatre return to the Civic Theatre with an uplifting tale of loss, love, family, friendship and Subbuteo.

Me and Me Dad is the latest play from Hull Truck’s Associate Director Nick Lane and is the sequel to his highly entertaining play My Favourite Summer.

My Favourite Summer told the story of Dave, who spent a summer working alongside the eccentric Melvin to try to earn enough money to impress the girl of his dreams. It all went spectacularly and hilariously wrong, but what happened next to Dave?

In Me and Me Dad we pick up the story several years later. Dave is still an aspiring actor, now renamed Andy, and has moved to London to follow his dream. But when his mum dies, Dave decides to move back home with his dad.

In the following weeks, they bond as Dave teaches his dad to cook, a massive task as until then his dad had needed a recipe for toast!

Me and Me Dad is at the Civic on Monday, March 29 and Tuesday, March 30 at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £12 (concessions £10).
