Hospice supporters urged to sign up for business challenge

ROTHERHAM Hospice is looking for entrepreneurial supporters to turn loans of up to £250 into more cash for the cause.

The BIG Fundraising Challenge is aimed at businesses, schools and community groups and has an overall target of £22,500.

Teams will be loaned £10 to £250 from solicitors Oxley & Coward and challenged to raise ten times the amount.

And the fundraisers are invited to be as creative as they like in bringing in the money, from cake sales to car washes.

Hospice campaigns and marketing manager Anne Giblin said: “I love the idea of this challenge, getting the community to come together for something really positive.

“I can’t wait to see what ideas people will come up with to raise money for our patient care.

“I know the people of Rotherham won’t let us down. I think we are in for a very diverse range of fundraising ideas.”

A launch event takes place at the Carlton Park Hotel on October 19 and the challenge will end in February.
