Honours for Rotherham's outstanding NHS staff

OUTSTANDING staff from health services across Rotherham have been honoured for their hard work at this year's Chairman's Awards for Outstanding Contribution.

STAFF from health services across Rotherham have been honoured for their hard work at this year's Chairman's Awards for Outstanding Contribution.

Accolades were presented to individuals and teams from NHS Rotherham and Rotherham Community Health Services.

Staff were nominated by both NHS Rotherham employees and members of the public in recognition of their hard work and outstanding contribution.

This year's winners were the Care Homes Liaison Team; the Carnegie Club/ Healthy Living Programme; Social Bathing Team; Cancer Action Rotherham; Ranee Townsend, clinical director of the Community Dental Service; primary care contracts officer Joy Rogers and Karen Jones, community Macmillan nurse.

This was also the second year that the GEM (Gone the Extra Mile) special award was presented.

This year's award went to the Social Bathing Team.
