Help for exporters to break into Chinese market

ROTHERHAM business eyeing the lucrative Chinese market are being offered help to go East by one of the UK’s most prominent manufacturing trade organisations.

The PPMA Group of Associations, a non-profit making group representing UK manufacturing is offering  their unique Dragon Service to Rotherham manufacturers looking to export to China.

The service  which has previously only been open to its members, enables a manufacturer to 'dip their toe in the water' in China with very little risk and at minimal cost.

The PPMA employs a member of staff to operate for a manufacturer.

They will handle all Chinese HR and employment issues. The employee would be re-charged at cost and a small share of the Chinese office overhead.

Chris Buxton, CEO of the PPMA Group, said: “This has proved very popular and effective for our members as an extremely low cost and low risk method of getting exporters into China - a lucrative market that many manufacturers wish to expand into but are either not sure how, or are put off by large market entry costs such as securing office premises.

We would like to hear from any Rotherham manufacturers wishing to explore these markets".
