“Have your say” call on Thurcroft street scene revamp

CONSULTATION is being carried out over changes to a village centre which councillors say will improve its safety and appearance.

Drop-in sessions will be held in Thrucroft to allow residents to give their views on the plans, which could include resurfacing, new bollards, benches and street lights and extra bins, as well as planters, trees or landscaping “to create a more welcoming environment”.

Introducing the proposals, borough councillors Thomas Collingham and Zachary Collingham said postal questionnaires will be sent out to local businesses, landowners and residents and views were also invited through social media, adding: “We are keen to hear ideas from local residents and stakeholders.”
