Graves damaged after car hits Maltby Cemetery wall
SEVERAL graves have been damaged after a car crashed into a brick wall at Maltby Cemetery in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
Police received reports that a car had been in collision with a wall on Grange Lane at 1.14am this morning, said a spokeswoman.
Ambulance and fire crews were also called to the scene.

Hide Ad"It is believed the driver has no serious injuries," she added, "An investigation is ongoing."
A resident, who did not wish to be named, said the incident had woken him and his partner.
"I live just across the road from where it happened and I heard the screeching of the tyres and an almighty bang," said the man.
"I knew exactly what had happened before I even looked out of the window."

Hide AdThe resident said the car had taken part of the cemetery wall out and "quite a few headstones".
"It has caused some serious and upsetting damage," he added.
Dignity, which manages the cemetery on behalf of Rotherham Council, has been contacted for more information.
