Gas leak road closed all week

A  road is expected to be closed for several days due to a gas leak.

Diversions were put in place in Greasbrough today after B6089 The Whins was shut between between its junctions with Greasbrough Lane and Cortworth Lane.

Officials said that the closure, which was due to a leaking 20-inch gas main, was likely to last at least a week.

Access to the closed stretched is only allowed for residents and all other traffic has been asked to follow the diversion signs through Haugh Road and Parkgate, ending on Great Eastern Way, Parkgate.
