Gallery: Anti-hate campaigners unite

ANTI-hate campaigners united at a colourful community event as part of a bid to ensure that “We Stand Together” against social injustice.

Around 300 people attended the event which was hosted by anti-hate group Love Comes First at the Imperial Buildings in Rotherham town centre on Saturday (25).

Love Comes First was established last year to respond with no political agenda after several far right demonstrations in the wake of the Rotherham child sex abuse scandal and resulted in several events being organised.

The group was also involved in a recent national social media campaign alongside South Yorkshire Police proactively standing up against hate crime under the banner “We Stand Together”.

The event was similar to previous Love Comes First events with singing and spoken word performers plus artwork and photography displaying positive representations of Rotherham’s diverse communities.
