Full Monty comes to Mexborough

THE FULL Monty came to Mexborough recently as one club hosted its own charity kit-off night.

Members of Westville FC swapped the football pitch for the stage to perform choreographed routines from the Sheffield-based classic.

The event, hosted by Westville Club in Mexborough, raised £150 which will be used to help the Sunday Premier League football club.

Howard Spencer, chairman, said: “It was an absolutely fantastic evening. A few lads bailed out at the last minute but the four who performed were brilliant.

“Local artist Kerry M from West Melton taught them the routines and now they are even talking about doing a calendar.

“The cash raised will be a massive help to the football club.”
