From Mozart to Queen at ancient church

A HISTORIC church dating back to the 14th century is set to host its first evening concert.

A HISTORIC church dating back to the 14th century is set to host its first ever evening concert.

The 42-strong Mexborough Male Voice Choir will be performing a concert entitled From Mozart to Mercury at St Peter’s Church, Letwell, next Friday.

The concert features a highly-varied programme with tunes ranging from the classical music of Mozart to hit songs from the likes of Queen, Elvis Presley and The Hollies.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the church along with money raised by Letwell’s annual Street Fair which this year takes place on July 7.
