Four arrested over alleged CSE offences

FOUR men from Rotherham were arrested over the Bank Holiday weekend after two separate alleged child sexual exploitation offences.

Three Rotherham men were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of abduction following an investigation into the disappearance of two teenage girls in Rotherham.

Police received reports that a 14-year-old girl and 15-year-old girl from Kimberworth had gone missing on Saturday between 10pm and 11pm.

The girls were located safe and well at a Masbrough address around four hours later.

The men, aged 18, 29 and 43, have been bailed while enquiries continued.

Police were also called at 7pm the same day after concerns that a 12-year-old girl from Rawmarsh had received inappropriate online contact from an adult male.

A 30-year-old man from Rotherham was arrested on suspicion of grooming and later bailed while enquiries continued.

Chief Supt Jason Harwin said: “We continue to do everything we can to support those who are being exploited by bringing perpetrators to justice.”
