The crews led the pair to safety and left at around 11.30pm — no injuries were reported.

One crew from Rotherham also attended Vale Avenue in Thrybergh at around 11pm yesterday.

Staff put out a refuse fire and a burning mattress. The blaze is thought to have been caused deliberately.
