Firefighters rescue kitten from sewer pipe in Thrybergh.

A YOUNG feline which fell from a first floor flat into sewer pipe ducting was rescued by firefighters.

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue said the eight-week-old kitten was unharmed — and happy to have a photo taken afterwards.

Firefighters were called to St Leonard’s Avenue in Thrybergh at 7.10pm on Monday. The incident was dealt with in about half an hour.
