Fire service: "Check your ovens and pans are clean"
CLEAN out your ovens and grill pans – that’s the message from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said heat can ignite fat and grease and lead to house fires.
The warning comes after an incident at a house on Roberts Road, Wingfield, on Saturday when heat from a frying pan ignitied fat and grease in a grill pan tray which filled the kitchen with smoke.
