Fire crews rescue stricken horse in Ravenfield

FIREFIGHTERS said it was neigh bother to rescue a horse which was stuck in a ditch.

Crews from Maltby, Tankersley and Adwick were called to Moor Lane North in Ravenfield.

They used a forward assist to save 25-year-old William (pictured) on Saturday afternoon.

A fire service spokeswoman said: “William had a long face after he got himself stuck. Firefighters were fortunately able to unstick William with neigh bother. His owners were extremely grateful.”
