Fire crews kept busy tackling arson attacks

FIRE crews had a busy weekend from attending to cars on fire to putting out burning trees.

Rotherham firefighters were called out to a deliberate vehicle fire at 1.55am on Sunday morning on Cranworth Road, East Dene.

They came away at 2.40am.

A crew from the same station were sent to deal with a shed on fire in an allotment at 7.05pm last night on Scrooby Street, Greasbrough.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 8.05pm.

Firefighters from Maltby station were called out to a fire involving trees and fence at 10.45pm on Stanford Close, Maltby, and were there until 11.15pm.
