Family's balloon release to raise epilepsy awareness

A family from Bolton-upon-Dearne held a balloon release to raise awareness of epilepsy - before freezing on the spot.

Vikky and James Skidmore were joined by son Ryan (14) in releasing purple balloons in the centre of Rotherham to raise awareness of epilepsy, which their five-year-old daugher Lilly suffers from.

The family “froze” in All Saints’ Square, Rotherham, to replicate a seizure.

Lilly suffers from microdeletion syndrome, a condition which causes damage to the brain and causes epilepsy.
