Exhibit to preview town centre carnival plans

A TOWN centre exhibition will preview plans to hold Rotherham’s own carnival next year.

The colourful installation, at the new Old Market Gallery on Keppel Wharf, will showcase carnival arts and artefacts from around the world.

Live music and refreshments will also feature at the event — organised with Open Minds Theatre Company, Rotherham Culture Company and the UK Centre for Carnival Arts.

Artists and volunteers have already started assembling exhibits for the free evening of entertainment, which kicks off at 6pm on Thursday, October 8.
