Ex-Titans prop dies in Italian road tragedy

Police in Rome are searching for the driver of the vehicle which knocked him off his scooter on Sunday.

Prop Mr Lynch (26) — who made five first team appearances for Titans in the 2004/05 season — died on the way to hospital.

The former Ireland Under-19 international had recently moved to Italy and played for Capitolina in the capital.

Titans chairman Nick Cragg said: “Brendan was a lovely young man, who shared our values and those of our wonderful game.”
