Weather warning in place as downpours lash South Yorkshire

A YELLOW weather warning has been issued across the borough, with flooding expected.

The Met Office said heavy rain and a “small chance of flooding” is expected to hit Rotherham, causing disruption all day.

It is expected to rain until 4pm today.

“There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings,” the Met Office said.

“Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
