Eco-friendly Charlotte Temple (7) fights back against dog waste

LITTLE litter fighter Charlotte Temple decided to clean up her village — by making dog poo bag dispensers.

The seven-year-old Barnburgh Primary School pupil (pictured) had the neat idea after noticing waste around Harlington.

And Doncaster Council recongised the youngsters’ effort with an award and litter-picking kit as part of its Great British Spring Clean project.

A spokesman called Charlotte’s idea “ingenious” and added: “We were so impressed we asked parish councillor Gill Heptinstall to present Charlotte with a special certificate and personalised hi-vis vest.”

Cllr Heptinstall said: “It was a great idea and lovely to meet Charlotte who I’m sure will come up with more amazing ideas in the future.”
