Entertainers in benefit for Afghanistan hero's family
A THEATRE group staged a day of entertainment raising more than £1,700 for the family of a Rotherham soldier killed in Afghanistan.
Steps Productions celebrated the life of Trooper James Leverett with performances at the Fitzwilliam Arms, sponsored by the Ron Hull Group.
They performed for more than three hours and the cash raised will be handed over to his girlfriend Tiffany Lound, who gave birth to their first son, also James, six weeks after the 20-year-old was killed.
The event was attended by more than 160 people and raised £1,758.
