The sunshine has come just in time for families to enjoy Clifton-by-the-Sea.

The final event in Rotherham Borough Council’s popular Slice of Summer fun programme launched today and runs until Thursday.

As well as the park’s ever-popular water park, sandpit, mini golf, skate park and children’s rides there will also be free children’s entertainment each day of the event and grown-ups will be able to rest their weary legs in traditional deckchairs.

The council’s Advisory Cabinet member for jobs and the local economy, Cllr Denise Lelliott, said: “Our Green Flag award-winning Clifton Park has been packed out this summer with families enjoying the facilities.
