Dogs rescued in kennels blaze

DOGS had to be taken to safety during a blaze at boarding kennels.

An electrical fault sparked a fire in one of the kennels at the premises on Hesley Lane, Thorpe Hesley, on Wednesday.

Three fire crews were called at 7.30pm and spent almost three hours at the scene.

All the dogs were safe but two people had to be taken to hospital after inhaling smoke.
