Dogs rescued from Maltby fire

TWO DOGS were rescued from a kitchen fire at a house in Maltby after neighbours raised the alarm.

Fire crews from Maltby and Edlington stations attended the property on Beech Close, Maltby at about 1pm on Sunday afternoon.

The fire service said the occupiers of the house were out at the time.

A fire service spokesman said: “There were no casualties and there were no people in the property at the time.

“Fire crews using breathing apparatus rescued two dogs from the premises. We believe the cause to have been accidental.”
