Doctor is new chairman of health group

A NEW chairman has been chosen for a health body.

Dr David Crichton, who has been a GP in Doncaster for over ten years, is the new chairman of the NHS Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group.

Dr Crichton takes over the role from Dr Nick Tupper on April 1 for a three-year term.

He said: “I am delighted to take over in this role and look forward to the work ahead.

“It’s a difficult time for the NHS and I relish the opportunity to see how we can, as an organisation, meet these challenges and continue to deliver quality care for local residents.

“In my role as chair, I am particularly passionate about providing the best service for all patients in the borough. It’s my driving ambition to reduce inequality so that everybody has access to the same high quality care, creating a healthier, happier Doncaster.”

The first public meeting of the new governing body is on April 21 at Sovereign House, Heavens Walk, Doncaster.
