Demolition men move in to Crinoline House
Workmen are stripping out the seven-storey former social services base on Effingham Street, which was built in the 1970s.
Work to knock down the building will begin in four to six weeks

Hide AdThe work is part of the wider Renaissance project which involves council staff moving to brand new offices at Riverside House.
A spokeswoman for Rotherham Borough Council said: “The physical demolition will require some occasional road closures outside peak traffic times to ensure the public safety in the immediate area.
“We have consulted with South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive to ensure that disruption to bus service departures and for customers using the Interchange is kept to a minimum.”
