Warning after Moorgate burglaries
POLICE have warned Moorgate residents to be vigilant after a spate of burglaries.
Computers were stolen from a flat at The Maltings and a laptop and digital camera were taken from Swale Court last weekend (29-1).
A would-be burglar tried to break into a High Bank house at 4am on Monday (2) but ran off when a woman shouted from inside.
Supt Paul McCurry said: “We are investigating the possibility that these incidents are linked. In the meantime, we’d ask residents to be extra vigilant.”
