Twelve in court over Wellgate trouble
The defendants - 11 adult men and a youth - were charged with violent offences following the incident outside the William Fry pub in Wellgate.
Trouble broke out on September 5 following a British First-led demonstration and a counter-rally led by United Against Fascism.

Hide AdOne of the men - Mahroof Sultan (36), of Grosvenor Road, Eastwood, admitted violent disorder at the hearing, while 11 others did not indicate a plea to the same charge.
Asif Zaman (47) of Wellgate Mount has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, while a 17-year-old who cannot be named is also accused of violent disorder.
The case was adjourned until March 22, when all 12 are due to appear before the same court.
Seven other men, including three from Rotherham, are due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court tomorrow over the fracas.

Four men from West Yorkshire David Ashley Woodward (47) of Sowerby Bridge, Andrew Thomas Gary Fox (47) of Halifax, Dennis Farrell (30) of Halifax and Reece McLaren (20) of Golcar are also charged with violent disorder.
