Three remain on bail over town centre stabbing

THREE teenagers arrested after a 16-year-old Rotherham College student was stabbed in the town centre remain on police bail.

The boy was attacked at around 12.50pm last Wednesday (November 2) near to the campus in Eastwood Lane.

Police said last week the victim’s injuries – believed to have been caused by a knife – were thought to be minor.

Two 16-year-old boys and another aged 15 were bailed after being arrested on suspicion of assault.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said no-one had been charged in connection with the incident and the three arrested remained on police bail pending further enquiries.
