A WOMAN who died after a fatal stabbing at a property in Sprotbrough on Saturday has been named as Kelli Bothwell.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Kelli (53) died after we were called to reports of a dispute inside a property on Main Street in Sprotbrough at around 8pm.

“A 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.

“Formal identification took place yesterday (Monday, August 7), and an earlier post-mortem examination concluded that Kelli died as a result of a stab wound.

“Kelli’s family continue to ask that their privacy is respected at this extremely difficult time.”
