Rotherham pair facing cocaine and meow meow charges

TWO Rotherham people have been arrested on drug charges as a result of a stop-and-search operation in Stockport.

A woman, aged 23 and from Kimberworth, was arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine which was found when police stopped her car  in the Greater Manchester town on Monday.

She was released on bail pending further enquiries.

Later, a search of a property in Kimberworth revealed a cache of the drug mephedrone, otherwise known as MCAT or miaow miaow, with an estimated street value of £7,000.

A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply and remanded in prison.

The man will appear at Sheffield Crown Court at a later date.
