Rotherham five accused over £3m Vodafone SIM scam
FIVE people from Rotherham were among eight charged over a £3 million fraud relating to hijacked mobile phone SIM cards.
South Yorkshire Police began working with Vodafone last July on a national investigation after customers’ accounts were targeted.
Four men and one woman from Rotherham will appear before City of London magistrates on May 8.
Also charged were one man from London, one from Doncaster and a Sheffield woman.
All eight are aged between 22 and 45.
