Robbers 'broke man's jaw' in house raid

A MAN suffered a suspected broken jaw after robbers armed with a hammer forced their way into his home.

Two men in dark clothing knocked at the door of the property in East Herringthorpe, threatened the occupants and demanded money.

Cash and a mobile phone were taken in the incident in Lady Oak Road shortly before 8.30pm on Wednesday.

The suspects are described as white, late 20s or early 30s.
