Police seek Goldthorpe bag-snatcher

POLICE are seeking a man who snatched a pensioner’s handbag in broad daylight.

He robbed the 67-year-old woman as she walked along Market Street, Goldthorpe at around 1.15pm on Friday, January 6.

The man — who is described as slim, medium height, wearing a dark hooded top and tracksuit bottoms — then made off towards Jackson Street and Kelly Street.

The woman was not hurt in the robbery, but lost a quantity of cash with the handbag.

Officers have released a CCTV image of the man — they urge anyone who recognises him or was in the area at the time to get in touch.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 505 of January 6.
