Police granted additional time to question suspects after Swinton firearms raid
POLICE officers have been granted an additional 12 hours to detain two people arrested in connection with firearms offences in Swinton yesterday (Tuesday).
A man and a woman were arrested and a “number of firearms” seized by police during a raid at the property in Park Road yesterday morning.
Officers from the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit, supported by South Yorkshire Police, executed the warrant in connection with an ongoing enquiry into firearms offences.
