Pedestrian killed in lorry collision at Hickleton

Emergency services were called shortly after 9.30am today after the collision on the A635 Barnsley Road.

The pedestrian died shortly after being taken to hospital and his family have been informed.

South Yorkshire Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident, which saw the road closed earlier as officers carried out enquiries.

A police spokesperson said: “Any witnesses to the collision, or motorists with dash-cam footage, are asked to get in touch.
