Pedestrian, 81, injured in crash

A PENSIONER was seriously injured after being involved in a road traffic collision.

The 81-year-old pedestrian was in collision with a blue Hyundai at around 10.30am on Tuesday near to the entrance of Kiveton Park Primary Care Centre on Chapel Way.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The pensioner suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he currently remains in a stable condition. 

“His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.”

Officers are asking for witnesses to come forward.
