A ROTHERHAM police officer suspended over claims he filmed people having sex at South Yorkshire dogging spots from the force’s helicopter has been sacked.

PC Adrian Pogmore (48), was dismissed following a disciplinary hearing on Friday.

A police spokeswoman said: “Following a gross misconduct investigation an officer appeared before a Special Case Hearing with the Chief Constable and was dismissed without notice.”

The 48-year-old officer was suspended in December over “unauthorised use of force visual recording equipment”, South Yorkshire Police confirmed last month.

A took place of his Rotherham home following the allegations but police said no footage was found.

A spokeswoman said a second officer in the helicopter at the time — who is employed by the National Police Air Service (NPAS) — was also investigated but “no misconduct was identified”.
