Nine in court accused of rape and child sex offences brought in Rotherham grooming gangs investigation
NINE men accused of a total 29 child sex offences in connection with a wide-ranging investigation into abuse in Rotherham will stand trial next year.
- Mohammed Amar (41), of Elizabeth Way; two counts of indecent assault.
- Mohammed Siyab (43), of Stevenson Drive; two counts of rape, one of indecent assault and one of trafficking
- Omar Mahmood (36), of Grosvenor Road; two counts of rape
- Yasser Ajaib (38), of Walter Street; indecent assault
- Mohammed Zameer Sadiq (48), of Richard Street; two counts of rape
- Abid Sadiq (32), formely of Rotherham; three counts of rape and one of indecent assault
- Tahir Yasin (37) of Burngreave Street, Sheffield; six counts of rape
- Ramin Bari (36), of Batemore Road, Sheffield; four counts of rape
- Mohammed Imran Ali Akhtar (41), formerly of Rotherham; two counts of rape and two of indecent assault.
