Motorcyclist dies in High Melton crash

Emergency services were called to Hangman Stone Lane at 2.47pm to reports a motorcycle and a car had been involved in a collisio, police said.

The rider of the bike, a 43-year-old man from Castleford in West Yorkshire, died at the scene. 

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said his family had been informed and were being supported by specially-trained officers.

The serious collisions unit is appealing for footage and information and is especially keen to hear from anyone in the area with dash-cam or CCTV footage.
