Man "left unconscious on pavement" after assault by teenagers

A MAN was left unconscious on the pavement after an alleged assault by a group of teenagers, police said.

The attack happened in Houghton Road, Great Houghton at about 6pm last Friday.

A spokesperson said a 26-year-old man had been punched in the head and left unconscious on the pavement. 

They said the victim had suffered “non-serious” injuries.

Three teenagers — aged 15, 16 and 16 — were arrested in connection with the incident.

Two have been bailed whilst enquiries continue, while the other has been released with no further action, police added.
