Man dies in Laughton Common fire

The blaze, which broke out in the early hours of this morning was at a house on Meadow Street.

Fire crews from Aston Park, Maltby, Rotherham, Mansfield Road and Central stations were called to the scene at about 1.40am.

It is understood that a man was found dead inside the property but the victim has not yet been formally identified.

South Yorkshire Police said that enquiries were ongoing with the fire investigation team to establish whether or not there are any suspicious circumstances.
