Man charged with possession of a firearm in Denaby

Jahmaine Watson (33), of Northumberland Lane, Denaby, will appear before Sheffield Crown Court next month charged with firearms offences after he was arrested following the execution of a warrant last week.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said the warrant to arrest Watson had been carried out by officers last Friday at a property on Wiltshire Avenue. 

They added: “This followed a previous warrant in 2022 where officers recovered two firearms, a revolver, and a handgun.” 

Watson appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, June 10 and has been remanded into custody to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Monday, July 10.
