A 35-YEAR-OLD MAN has been charged following a shooting in Thrybergh last month.

A 35-YEAR-OLD MAN has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Thrybergh last month.

Martin Neville, of Bellscroft Avenue, Thrybergh, was arrested yesterday (Thursday) and he has today been charged with attempt murder.

Neville has been remanded in custody and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates' Court later today.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Emergency services were called to Hollings Lane at around 7.20pm on Friday June 30 following reports a man had been shot outside Thrybergh Working Men’s Club.

“The victim, a man in his thirties, received gunshot wounds to his leg and was taken to hospital.

“His injuries are not deemed to be life-changing.”
