Man charged after boiler stolen from flat

A 57-year-old man has been charged after a boiler stolen from a “trap” flat was found at his home in Brinsworth.

The boiler —in an unoccupied Sheffield property set up by the city council — had been fitted with a tracking device.

Police found the item on Wednesday evening (11) on Pringle Road, arresting the resident on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

He is due to appear before magistrates in Sheffield on July 2.
