Herringthorpe Playing Fields sex attack arrest
AN 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 13-year-old girl on Herringthorpe Playing Fields.
The girl reported being sexually attacked on the playing fields off Tennyson Road just before midnight last Thursday.
An area of the fields was cordoned off on Friday morning while forensic examinations were carried out and enquiries conducted.
The man, who has not been named, was bailed pending further enquiries.
