Girls "hit with sticks" by gang of teenage boys in North Anston park

TWO young girls had abuse shouted at them and "hit with sticks" by a group a teenage boys at a park in North Anston.

TWO young girls were abused and "hit with sticks" by a group a teenage boys at a park in North Anston. 

Police said they had been called to called to Greenlands Park on Quarry Lane at 7.10pm last Saturday to reports of violence.

Two girls, aged 13 and 14, had been approached by a group of teenage boys who shouted abuse and hit them with sticks, leaving the victims with minor injuries, said a spokeswoman. 

An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting incident number 925 of June 12.
