Girl (11) attacked in street by group of boys

AN 11-YEAR-OLD girl was set upon by a gang of boys and assaulted.

Police said the girl was reportedly walking along Oak Road in Mexborough between 3.30-4pm on Friday (May 20), when she was approached by a group of about five boys.

The boys are then believed to have repeatedly pushed her over, causing grazes to her legs.

Police are investigating the incident and asked for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward with information.
